The problem 😣

After research we concluded that old age users face several pain points when trying to access healthcare services or schedule doctor appointments.

1.
Users don’t have enough capability to go for doctor’s location.
2. Users have lack of convenient transportation options.
3. Users are not much familiar of technologies.
4. Users feel overwhelmed while waiting for their turn to see the doctor.
5. Users don’t know how much effected this doctor will be.

The Solution 🤩

ePatient provides old age users to call the doctor right at their home or if the patient want to meet doctor in a video call.

It provides following solutions to their users:

1. Convenience of traveling & mobility issues
2. Time-savingAccess to healthcare in their pocket
3. User friendly experience which provide them to book appointment or one tap to call us.
4. Highly trusted doctors mentioned in front of user while booking.
5. Reminders & notifications

Design process

  1. We got survey of the real patients from the the Hospital & we concluded that 80% users don’t satisfy with the appointment process. Most of them stated that its better for Doctor to visit Patient’s location.
  2. We did competitive analysis of active product with real users on USA market. Following are some reputed products:
Zocdoc, Healthgrades, Doximity, Vitals & many more
  3. Design user flow in order to understand clearly the flow of user in the app.
  4. As old age users has accessibility issues, so we did research on it & get some insightful results.
  5. Design UI iterations & test it with real users.
  6. Get feedback & improved the areas need to improve.

User research

1. Colour blindness

One billion people have disabilities.
Colour (color) blindness (colour vision deficiency, or CVD) affects approximately 1 in 12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women in the world.
2. Mobile device

Older people are the largest users of tablets and Seniors perform better using touch interfaces.
3. Black as accent color

Black and white is best color combination for old age users.

Checked my design with online visual impairment simulators and converting designs to grayscale to make sure they are still accessible.

Colours before and after apply Gary over in order to check buttons interface for colourblind users.
